An intervention model developed by Ashalim in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Social Affairs, the centers approach material and emotional needs holistically, assisting children and parents individually and as a family. Some 30 centers are now part of a community-based service network that is improving parenting skills and family functionality among dysfunctional, abusive or neglectful families with children aged 5 to 12.
