Since the early 1990s, JDC has been helping the Jews of Kyrgyzstan learn about
the beauty of Jewish life and care for the most destitute members of their community.
In 1997, we established Hesed Tikva in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The Hesed serves as both a welfare center and a Jewish Community Center. Today, it is caring for hundreds of impoverished Kyrgyz Jews and fostering an exciting Jewish renewal among children and adults. |
